About Pastor Andersen and his family:

In September of 1013, the Rev. Eric Andersen received a Divine Call to serve as Christ's undershepherd at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Summit, Illinois. He is a 2008 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and served as Pastor of Faith Lutheran Church in Johnstown, Colorado from 2010—2013. Prior to seminary, he studied music at St. Xavier University and Concordia University, Chicago. His interests include theology, languages, music, and running.

Pastor Andersen posts his sermons, items of theological interest, and some of his own music & recordings at his blog, Seelsorge (www.seelsorge40.com). He writes for The Brothers of John the Steadfast (www.steadfastlutherans.org/?author=68) and a number of his articles have appeared in Around the Word (www.aroundthewordjournal.com). He has run marathons in Chicago, St. Louis, and Duluth. He also enjoys making (and eating!) pizza—especially cheese pizza (he's a purist that way). His wife Tiffinie earned an MBA from Kaplan University and a BA in education at Concordia University, Chicago. She enjoys reading, stamping, crocheting, and running.  She also likes pizza, but not as much as Pastor. They have three children, Joshua, Ruth, and Elizabeth, whom they home school. Their fourth child, Isaac Martin, is due on March 12th.
